The Western Massachusetts Chapter of the AMC is looking for your help! To unleash fresh ideas and perspectives from our members, we are seeking volunteers to fill two important Officer roles on our Executive Committee: Vice Chair and Treasurer. These important positions meet online monthly, and help provide administrative and logistical support to the chapter — a totally volunteer organization dedicated to providing dozens of hiking, biking, climbing, paddling, trail work and other fun events and activities throughout the year. They also help keep things running smoothly by coordinating our various committees and providing a point of contact with AMC Volunteer Relations. Chapter officers receive training, mentoring and support throughout their terms, so prior experience in a chapter leadership role is not necessary.
Each officer will serve a two-year term starting in 2022.To learn more about these roles, take a moment to read the Vice Chair and Treasurer position descriptions. If you or someone you know has a few hours a month to support the great work we do in the region, please contact the Nominating Committee at email@example.com. They can answer any questions you have about the positions and the nomination process. You are free to nominate yourself or any other interested person for any position, however all nominees must be AMC members in the Western Mass Chapter.
Participation in our Executive Committee is meaningful, rewarding and fun! It offers a great opportunity to meet, learn and collaborate with people who share your passion for the outdoors and for the work we do at the AMC. Not sure you’re ready to take an officer position? That’s OK too -- we are always happy to help new volunteers find a good fit among our many committees and programs. We want to help you transform your passion into real contributions that advance outdoor recreation and environmental conservation. To learn more, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you - Volunteers are how we get our chapter business done!
