Griswold GTD Conservation Area

This 200-acre conservation area was donated to the Town of Greenfield, MA by the Griswold Family and Greenfield Tap & Die Corporation. The property offers hiking and cross-country skiing and an interpretive trail system designed by a consulting forester.
A kiosk is located in the parking area. Self-guiding maps are available to the public that indicate the location of the trails. Numbered trail markers with accompanying narrative describe and demonstrate land stewardship and wildlife habitat enhancement.

Stewardship Trail

The 2-mile long Stewardship Trail contains 16 numbered stops, marked by posts. Each stop showcases a demonstration of land stewardship, such as improvement thinning, wetland wildlife, road stabilization, regeneration harvest, and more.
