Maintaining an Open Line of Sight
Maintaining an open line of sight and documenting the conditions of the 'monuments' (individually numbered aluminum disks set into rock or on pipes) at the corners of the property is important for the ongoing protection of the A.T.
Fortunately, the sparkling weather of the past several weeks continued, with a frosty start and a pleasant afternoon. We were able to find nearly all the monuments, even the ones buried in forest duff.
We are wrapping up our project season, but have several wildlife transects in the months ahead. Visit the A.T. Management's
committee page to view upcoming activities.
