Leave No Trace Trainer Course

Training and Education Committee Highlight

Participants in our two-day Trainer Course on October 14, 2023 learn Leave No Trace skills and ethics as well as techniques for educating others about these low impact practices. Trainer Courses involve a blend of classroom instruction and outdoor activity.

We typically spend more than half of the course outdoors. Graduates of a Trainer Course are prepared to offer Leave No Trace Awareness Workshops to their community. Research has shown that this course significantly improves participant knowledge and understanding of how Leave No Trace protects the outdoor places we love.
